As you may guess we have already booked some of the
accommodation around the area for family, and appreciate there is not much available close by. Below is a list of local places that can be booked out and we have arranged a bus from Tarbert (which could do a could pick up in Lochgilphead/Ardrishaig first- but this would be for non-local guests as limited space). The bus will also do a run to Port Ban Caravan park. This will give you an option of booking accommodation out with the
immediate area of Kilberry and still have a drink.
If you would like a place on the bus please could you send us a message via this site or the facebook group just so we know we have enough space on the bus (it's a 30 seater- the biggest that can make the road!).
We have Parking in
the field opposite the house so a nice easy walk for post-dancing feet!
We also are considering having pick up points where people
who are driving can look out for people to
give lifts to. We're hoping more local guest will chat to each other and lift share. We're hoping to pop something on the facebook page nearer the time for lift sharing too if needed.
There is a limited amount of camping in the garden, there will be Portaloos available for use, but it will be quite rough! Please let us know if you would like to do this so we can plan area in advance.
For those who wish to bring a sleeping bag there will be plenty of tents and
marquees to crash in after the party.
Port Ban Caravan Park. – This is a campsite right on the beach 1 mile
from the house with the usual toilets showers etc. It is an amazing camping spot
with a small beach and views over to Jura and Isla, they do have some caravans
and pods but they only do Saturday to Saturday hires. https://www.portban.com/
Kilberry Inn. -This is in the village (100 yards from
the house) and just does Dinner bed and breakfast, it has a great reputation
and is Michelin recommended. This is not a cheap alternative but if your
looking for a bit of luxury it may suit you. https://kilberryinn.com
Tarbert Holiday park. A fairly new campsite with lots
of pods of varying styles and costs, a nice café onsite, about 35 minutes from

West loch shores: A typical holiday park with

Stonefield Castle Tarbert, About 40 minutes from the
house, A beautiful stone castle set in its own grounds, bed and breakfast

West loch Tarbert Guest house. About 35 minutes from

Barnlongart House and Keppers cottage, Ormsay About 20
minutes from the house, Barnlongart House is a large house sleeping 12, Keepers
cottage sleeps 6. although looks
expensive by splitting between 6 or 12 people it is not too bad.If enough people are interested we may be able organise

Just be careful as a general search will include places close to us but on surrounding islands.
The area is beautiful and you may wish to make it a proper
break with the party as part of your holiday.
